The College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico
(CIAPR, by its abbreviation in Spanish) is a non-profit
corporation established in 1938 to group the engineering
and surveying professionals in the Commonwealth of Puerto
Rico. The professionals involved in the CIAPR include
surveyors, and civil, electrical, industrial, mechanic,
chemical, and computer engineers. The mission of the CIAPR
is to promote the development and protection of the
engineering and surveying professions, fostering the
ethics and excellence in the practice of the professions
for the benefit of its members and the people of Puerto
Rico.
AGREEMENT WITH THE CIAPR - MAYAGÜEZ CHAPTER
On October 2, 2007 the PR-LTAP Center signed an
agreement with the Mayagüez Chapter of the College of
Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico (CIAPR, by its
abbreviation in Spanish) allowing the open participation
of CIAPR members to the training seminar and workshops
offered by the Center. This agreement results in benefits
to Puerto Rico municipalities and local and state
transportation agencies by training and maintaining
professionals that serve them as consultants or
contractors to the latest technologies and practices in
the transportation field. The PR-LTAP Center is then
allowed to use the CIAPR facilities at no cost for the
offering of the training seminars and workshops.
