Research
  • MARC students must perform 6 to 9 hours per week of on-campus research for the academic year. They may receive a maximum of 6 academic credits in research courses (QUIM 4998-4999 or BIOL 4901-4902).
  • During the second summer of the program, the students participate in an off-campus research experience in a university of their choice.
Weekly Meetings
  • Students are required to attend weekly meetings. In the meetings, information about research opportunities, graduate programs, and summer research programs is given. The meetings also have distinguished professors who come from various universities to speak about current topics in science research.
Presentations
  • At least one annual presentation in a local and/or national scientific forum, such as ABRCMS.
Student Commitment
  • Students should continue studies for a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences at a university and program of their choice.
