Understanding protein interactions and their function by the use of molecular biophysical techniques.


We seek to understand the structure/function/stability relationship by applying biotechnology techniques such as site directed mutagenesis, isotope labeling, fermentor, based expression of proteins of interest. Their isolation, purification and biochemical characterization to ensure sufficient high quality protein for the study of these proteins by molecular biophysical techniques such as infrared spectroscopy, two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2DCOS) and bioinformatics molecular modeling to be applied towards the understanding of protein biological functions and protein thermodynamics.


To actively contribute to the understanding of human disease throuhg basic research while, training the future generation of scientist and upholding the highest ethical and moral standards.
