How to Fail in your English Class
Why have a page like this? Some people learn best from negative examples!
Please don't fail!
 1) Best way to fail: Don't go to class. Teachers really like that. My absence policy is in the syllabus in case you are not sure about this. Related strategies:
excessive absences (*with or without excuses*)
absent from class, but seen on campus or other interesting places
continual lack of preparation -- not having read the required work, not bringing the required assignments, not participating -- all of which are treated as absences as stated in the syllabus
*excuses may sometimes help, but an excuse is not the equivalent of an exercise, assignment, quiz, or presentation done on time.
 2) Second best way to fail: Plagiarize your work (either partially or completely). If you have questions about this one, check the syllabus and also the Plagiarism Project for your class. There may also be examples under the heading of Unsuccessful Work in the Handouts page for your class.
 3) Third best way to fail: Don't do your work. Any Questions?
Guaranteed strategy: Any combination of the above.
