Readings: Read in order to discuss in class. You may take notes, study, prepare questions, etc. in order to prepare for that discussion and perhaps for a quiz.
*obviously, you should read in advance and you should feel free to ask about the materials in class before the last date (marked *), on which we will probably discuss the material in the classroom. Anticipate that on those days, the discussion may be a quiz.*

Part III, Chapter 9 (71-77), and Chapters 10 - 13 (78-97).
For the week ending on Friday, Aug. 31st, read Chapters 5-7 (52-66)
Part V, Chapter 28 and 29 (pages 165-178).
For the week ending on Friday, Sept. 14th, read Chapters 28-30 (165-182), with emphasis on pages 165-178.
For the week ending on Friday, Sept. 21st, read Chapter 9 (74-77), and 10 (78-84)
For the week ending on Friday, Sept. 28th, read Chapters 11,12, and 13(85-97)
For the week ending on Friday, Oct. 5th, read Chapter 17 (116-120) and 24 (148-150)
