The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez MARC Program, sponsored by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), has been designed to provide honors students with research related activities and a special science curriculum that will improve their possibilities of being accepted on a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. program and being successful in biomedical research graduate programs. The Program accepts students from the Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Microbiology, and Biotechnology Departments.
