PRESENT POSITION

Professor in the Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus.

AREAS OF INTEREST

Computer Integrated Engineering (CIE), manufacturing processes, vibratory bowl feeders, feature extraction algorithms and design improvements in products for ease of assembly and machining processes.

§         Caribe General Electric Products, Inc., Añasco, P. R., June 1989 to July 1989.  Trained the Plant Engineers to use a personal computer-based Computer-Aided Design Software.

§         DSC Corp., Aguadilla, P. R., June 1992 to July 1992.  Developed software to generate assembly and inspection related documents from AutoCAD and trained personnel to use this application.
