"For some time we have discussed the possibility of starting a newsletter for the purpose of encouraging communication among students of Curculionoidea. As you well know, those of us interested in scientific study of the group are widely scattered over the world and usually have little opportunity to discuss with each other our activities and interests concerning these insects. It seems to us that an informative newsletter would serve to at least partially break down the barriers of distance and aid in keeping us all better informed as to what is being done on the group throughout the world." - Horace Burke & Wayne Clark, 1976
CURCULIO is in its 32nd year of publication
CURCULIO is an international newsletter, aimed at circulating information about research and researchers of the Coleoptera superfamily Curculionoidea. The newsletter is currently in its 31st year of publication. The exclusively internet-based newsletter is published twice each year in June and December. Information is gathered from the readership approximately two months prior to publication.
Contributions range from research activities and request of specimens to reports on museums, field studies, meetings, and actual scientific notes (which should not have taxonomic implications). We are always in need of contributions! If you want to join our e-mailing list and/or write a note for the newsletter, please contact the editor at franz[at]uprm[dot]edu.
