K-6 Students

Visiting Period: November 14, 2007

Summary: 22 students, 2 teachers and 5 parents visited our lab facilities and participated in several hands-on interactive modules. On the photo (moving clock-wise from the upper left corner): (1) our very own, Daphne S. Belén teaching students on the use of polarized-light microscopes ; (2) students using the microscopes to see large molecular sieves crystals; (3) students playing "Jenga." The "Jenga" game allows them to visualize the build up of a "porous" framework and how fragile these could be.
